"Dear Abby" Was inspired by the Dear Abby column that was at one time a famous columnist for the Chicago Tribune. Dan and Emily wrote this song as homage to as if they were to write to Abby, a conversation between the writers and Abby. This original song was written and recorded in Nashville Tennessee.
Lyrics
Dear abby , Life’s been getting to me
Got more grey hair , stacks of bills, I’m suffocating
I write you to find more room to breathe
I took your advice, grabbed a truck stop magazine
Now I’m dropping it all, to head out east
Find myself a little more room to breathe
Where the weight that you carry is as light as the breeze
The tangerine skies they really get me
No bumper to bumper the neighbors are miles away
Out here I’ve got a little more room to breathe
Dear Abby, you should see this scene
Its A whole new world, a brand new me
So today I write to you to share this air I breathe
Chorus
Where the weight that you carry is as light as the breeze
The tangerine skies they really get me
No bumper to bumper the neighbors are miles away
Out here I’ve got a little more room to breathe
Where the weight that you carry is as light as the breeze
The tangerine skies they really get me
No bumper to bumper the neighbors are miles away
Out here there’s a little more room to breathe
